The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has confirmed that an 87-year-old Baton Rouge area woman who died earlier this month was infected with the same strain of listeria found in the recalled cantaloupes produced by Jensen Farms in Colorado.

Last week, the DHH lab linked the death of an 81-year-old Shreveport area woman. Epidemiologists determined the listeria she had is the same strain that was found in the recalled cantaloupes produced by Jensen Farms.
