The Canadian Food and Inspection Agency (CFIA) is issuing a warning to customers with any Belich’s Market and Creekside Market brands Breakfast Wraps in their possession.

After a food safety investigation conducted by the CFIA and an initial voluntary food recall of the products on March 26, 2014, further findings have traced the potential listeria contamination in these products back to the shredded cheese used within.

The shredded cheese products used in both Belich’s Market and Creekside Market brands Breakfast Wraps is produced by British Columbia-based company, Castle Cheese Inc.

Although no illnesses have been attached to these products specifically, the CFIA reminds consumers to refrain from eating or handling any products that fit these product descriptions:

Creekside Market Breakfast Wraps – sold in 250-gram packages with a packaging date of April 1, 2014 and a “best before” date of April 11, 2014, and

Belich’s Market Breakfast Wraps – sold from March 10 through 28, 2014

The products were sold at a Creekside Market retail location in Whistler, BC as well as a Super Valu retail store , located in North Vancouver, BC.
